Board/Liason Bios

  • Mark Strosher PEng., President

    Mark has been an Environmental Protection Officer with BC Environmental Protection in the Kootenay Region for more than 25 years.  He has a passion for environmental education and awareness, and has been involved in a voluntary capacity in that regard for more than 15 of them.

  • Vintee Kausal - Treasurer

    Vintee is a practicing professional accountant in Cranbrook, BC.  As well as being interested in water issues, she will assist Mainstreams’ staff in accounting procedures and in particular will establish procedures for auditing Mainstream’s financial records.

  • Stewart Wilson, Secretary

    Stewart Wilson is an elementary teacher in Cranbrook who shares his love and knowledge of Joseph Creek and Elizabeth Lake with his students. He is a member of Columbia Basin Environmental Education Network and is Chair of the Joseph Creek Streamkeepers.

     

  • Susanne Ashmore, Board Member

    Susanne is the President of the Wasa Lake Improvement District Board; a volunteer organization looking out for the water quality of Wasa Lake.  Susanne is also an internationally recognized potter.

  • Rox Rogers, Board Liaison

    Rox coordinates the US Fish and Wildlife Service Partners for Fish & Wildlife Program in Northwest Montana. She has spent the past six years assisting landowners with habitat improvement projects.  As project coordinator for the Tobacco River watershed she strives to improve fish and wildlife resources and habitat.  Her current projects include the Grave Creek and Therriault Creek restorations.

  • Jim Dunnigan, Board Liaison

    Jim works as a fisheries biologist for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks in Libby, Montana.  His main focus is the Libby Dam Mitigation project, where he uses his restoration, research and monitoring skills to offset the impacts from the construction and operation of the Libby Dam.

    Dr. Betty Mosher - Board Liaison

    Betty teaches Biology at College of the Rockies in Cranbrook.  In the past, her students have been involved with education projects on nonpoint source pollution in Joseph Creek.  Betty is helping design the college’s new environmental studies certificate and diploma and will be working with Mainstreams to engage her students in new public education projects.
