Joseph Creek Streamkeepers
Joseph Creek Streamkeepers is a group of citizens interested in the health of the Joseph Creek Watershed.
Regular activities include:
- Litter clean up in May as part of Cranbrook’s Pitch-Inlswilson
- Fall and Spring Stream Walks visiting a different section of Joseph Creek each time
- Riparian planting in spring so the plants get established before the hot, dry summer
- Monitoring water quality using Environment Canada’s CABIN protocols
- Streamkeeper training was held in the fall 2011
